Nested in Baabdat, Lebanon, this house pays homage to the charm of traditional Lebanese mountain villages. What captivates in such villages is the interconnectedness of their historic homes. Frequently, neighbors ascend the same stairs to reach their homes. This authentic interplay was a design guideline for the concept of the house. In this regard, the house comprises three separate pavilions, each with its own access via shared stairs. These staircases are regarded as a vital component at the core of the project, akin to its “spinal column” Each pavilion boasts its own terrace, while all living spaces open up to a communal garden, which is regarded as the project’s green centerpiece.
